Fault Detecting and Isolating Schemes in a Low-Voltage DC Microgrid Network from a Remote Village

Fault detection and isolation are important tasks to improve the protection system of low voltage direct current (LVDC) networks. Nowadays, there challenges related strategies in LVDC systems. In this paper, two proposed methods for fault faulty segment through line bus measurement were discussed. The impacts grid characteristics protective devices under pre-fault normal, under-fault, post-fault conditions also It was found that within a short time after occurrence network, quickly detected efficiently isolated from grid, where restored its normal operating conditions. For analysing isolation, algorithms with their corresponding MATLAB/SIMULINK platforms developed. findings paper showed would be used microgrid by successfully resolving restoration problems microgrids, especially rural villages.
